In the preliminary research, we observed 4- and 5-year-olds playing on monkey bars during their free time and recorded the ways they played and the words they used. In the main research, we investigated the recognition of 5-year-olds concerning the play with monkey bars by the semi-structured interviews and analyzed their speeches using the KJ method. As a result, we noted the following three points to be the appeal of monkey bars. The first is that, although there are differences in the ways 4- and 5-year-olds use monkey bars, they share the same desire to play on them and joy of accomplishment as well. The second is that monkey bars are popular with kindergartners because of their sense of comfort and accomplishment when playing on them. The third is that monkey bars are a form of amusement that help kindergartners to develop a challenging spirit. In light of these appealing points, we examine monkey bars’ incorporation of both performance and learning goals and conclude that these are among the reasons why monkey bars is not be removed from kindergarten playgrounds.}, pages = {9--18}, title = {園児がとらえたうんてい遊びの魅力と達成感に関する研究}, volume = {6}, year = {2018}, yomi = {コバヤシ, サヨコ and イクタ, リナ} }
