The task games comprised a game where players had to score without dribbling(NDR), one in which they were allowed to shoot once all teammates had touched the ball( ALT), and one in which they had to call out the name of the receiver when they wanted to pass( CAL). To validate the games, the number of passes in each game was counted. The participants commented on the confusion they felt during each type of game; these were documented in a free format. The results indicated that the number of passes in the NDR and ALT games were significantly higher than those in regular basketball games.
