First-grade teachers were interviewed for this purpose. The study revealed three key points: ① Individualized assessment and support tailored to each child's self-discovery, expressions, and activities are crucial during the transition from kindergarten to first grade. ② Teachers need to facilitate children's progress by setting goals based on their own cognition and initiative by providing support, such as preparing educational materials, environmental setup, and guidance (e.g., making suggestions and asking questions) during activities. ③ To facilitate deeper peer learning, teachers should provide optimum learning environments and observe and mediate interactions during activities based on children’s relationships.
