The results were divided into two main categories: questions about the episodes themselves and questions about the assumptions of the episodes. We found that teachers understand children both peripherally and centrally by asking questions, not only about the information contained in the episodes, but also about the daily interactions among children and their teachers, the care practices in use, and the environment.
