It suggests a theoretical framework and conditions that may assist in this creation.\nThe controversy developed in a Japanese society that consisted of people born after World War II and held the private-life principle. There was a main difference of opinion for the public sphere; one emphasized attribution of war responsibility to the Japanese community continued before and after the war, the other emphasized solidarity with the broader Asian communities dividing the Japanese community before and after the war. However, the controversy does not present their concrete conditions. Thus, we considered some cases in contemporary Japanese society and found two issues: awareness on war responsibility by Japanese and recognition by other Asians.\nThese highlight the difficulty of “coordination and articulation between demos and ethnos”.
