内容記述 | A municipality in the Tohoku region of Japan (A) was undertaking discussions concerning future policy approaches to revitalizing local industry. These discussions involved developing ways of maintaining the local industries and communities of the region. The outcomes of these talks were an emphasis on shoring up core technology and restructuring the relationship between businesses in the region. A specific issue delineated was training personnel to work in local industry through the B technical school newly reorganized in A. The talks around this issue, however, did not get off to a smooth start. However, content surrounding robotics, technical certification, and a reorganization of the curriculum -- ideas involving inter-actor approaches -- were incorporated in both the curriculum of B and in extracurricular activities. This process also served to elucidate the specific roles that each actor would have. As described above, this paper discusses how "collaboration" and "expectation" serve as regional assets for the creation of policy to vitalize local industry and for the continuation of a local school. | |||||
