| 内容記述 | 江草古墳は，広島県福山市神辺町下竹田，及び同町平野の尾根上に立地する古墳である．測量調査の結果，本古墳は（復元）全長約55ｍ（後円部直径約28ｍ，前方部長さ約27ｍ）の前方後円墳であると考えられる．また，本古墳の前方部は，撥形の形状を呈しており，古墳時代前期に位置付けることができる． 本古墳については，具体的な考古資料は確認できておらず，残念ながら，その詳細は不明であるが，備後地域の古墳文化を解明するためにも，重要な古墳であることは言うまでもない．今後の発掘調査に期待したい． |

| 内容記述 | This paper concerns a topographic survey of an ancient burial mound tomb that extends on a ridge near Shimotakeda and Hirano Kan-nabe Cho, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. This mound is called “the Egusa Mound Tomb”. We tentatively restored it to its original appearance and it turns out to be as large as 55 meters in full, consisting of 27 meters square in front and 28 meters round in rear. Closer look shows that the front has a shape of Japanese sound-making device (“Bachi”) of some old musical instrument, indicating that this has been made in the first period of ancient mound tomb. Details are not known as its past remains and information has not been available yet. It goes without saying that the Egusa Mound Tomb is important in articulating a wider “Bingo area”（Eastern Hiroshima Prefecture）as well; further excavation survey is expected. . |
