| 内容記述 | 本稿の目的は，1950年代・1960年代において，広島県立若草園及び広島県立若草園福山分園の療育及び教育が，その対象とする肢体不自由児の実態の変容に対して，どのような対応を行っていったのかについて明らかにすることであった。若草園が直面した対象児の実態の変容は，ポリオ，骨関節結核，先天性股関節脱臼などによる肢体不自由が占める割合が低下する一方で，脳性麻痺児が占める割合が増加するというものであった。収容定員の拡大を伴いながら行われた，その対象児実態の変容に対する療育及び教育は，「肢体不自由児事業は脳性麻痺につきる」とする高木の先見と，高木が構想した脳性麻痺児に対する療育的アプローチである「脳性治療」と呼応することが示唆された。 | |||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This study intends to elucidate how habilitation and education in Hiroshima Prefectural Wakakusaen and its Fukuyama Branch responded to the transformation of the target children with physical disabilities in the 1950s and 1960s. The transformation of the target children faced by Wakakusaen resulted in a decrease in the proportion of children with limb disabilities due to polio, osteoarticular tuberculosis, and congenital hip dislocation, among others. Another result is an increase in the proportion of children with cerebral palsy. The habilitation and education for the transformation of the target children, conducted with expansion of the capacity, were suggested to correspond to the foresight that “the project for children with physical disabilities is all about cerebral palsy” and “cerebral habilitation.” It is a habilitation and education approach for children with cerebral palsy conceived by Takagi. | |||||||||||||||||
